US Treasury sanctions far-left terror networks

The United States Department of the Treasury, through the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), has imposed sanctions on several organizations identified as ‘far-left terror networks.’ The targeted entities include the Italy-based Autistici Inventati, the UK-based Palestine Action, and the international organization Masar Badil.

According to the Treasury, Autistici Inventati provides digital infrastructure and services to groups it deems ideologically aligned with organizations like the PKK. Palestine Action, which was designated a terrorist organization by the UK in July 2025, is accused of supporting terror activities, including injuring British law enforcement and targeting commercial businesses to pressure the government. Masar Badil is alleged to act as a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), with executives Rawa Alsagheer and Zaid Abdulnasser also being sanctioned.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the administration will use the full weight of its economic tools against ‘far-left radicals, extremists, their fronts, and supporters,’ emphasizing that political terrorism has no place in American society.
