US White House seeks early AI model access as Trump proposes American co‑ownership of AI firms

OpenAI, Anthropic and other leading firms have signaled willingness to comply, while OpenAI director George Osborne said the step is meant to ensure that AI systems are safe and not harmful before they reach consumers.
