USC players earn Big Ten honors ahead of Oregon matchup

The No. 12 USC Trojans remain undefeated following a 42-35 victory over Rutgers, though the win highlighted defensive struggles against the Scarlet Knights. Despite the close contest, two USC players received Big Ten weekly honors. Kicker Caden Chittenden was named Special Teams Player of the Week after successfully converting two field goals and four extra points in his first game handling place-kicking duties. Additionally, redshirt freshman running back Riley Wormley was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

USC is now preparing for a high-stakes matchup against No. 20 Oregon at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Oregon enters the game with a 2-1 record, having recently secured a dominant 84-0 win over Portland State following a loss to Oklahoma State. The upcoming game serves as a significant test for both programs as they navigate their respective schedules.
