USDC Loses $141 Million as Traders Shift to USDT Stablecoin
Crypto market data for the latest 24‑hour window shows a pronounced rotation among stablecoins. USD Coin (USDC) recorded the largest net outflow among major assets, with about $141.2 million leaving the token, while Tether (USDT) posted the strongest net inflow, gaining roughly $41.4 million.
Bitcoin experienced roughly equal inflows and outflows of about $2.2 billion each, resulting in a small net outflow of $38.6 million, indicating active repositioning rather than a clear directional bet. Ethereum’s flows were near‑balanced, ending with a modest net inflow of about $1.4 million. Select altcoins such as Monero, Solana, and USD1 saw modest net inflows, whereas several others, including XRP, Zcash, Worldcoin, Near Protocol, Stellar, Dogecoin and Cardano, posted net outflows.
Analysts interpret the stablecoin divergence as a short‑term preference for immediate liquidity and tactical flexibility, with traders reshuffling exposure between USDC and USDT while maintaining broader market neutrality.
