Circle adds USDC gateway and fiat payouts to Fireblocks platform
Circle announced a deeper integration of its USDC services with the Fireblocks platform, bringing Circle Gateway and the Circle Payments Network to Fireblocks users. The addition lets institutions hold a single virtual USDC balance that works across supported blockchains, eliminates the need for separate gas‑token holdings, and allows fiat payouts in more than 50 countries while preserving existing compliance, approval and audit‑trail controls.
At the same time, stablecoin USDC continues to dominate the market, processing $21.5 trillion in on‑chain transactions in a single quarter—about 70 % of global stablecoin volume. Providers such as Coinremitter offer turnkey USDC‑ERC20 payment gateways that let businesses accept USDC with a flat 0.23 % fee, far lower than typical credit‑card costs. The gateway supports APIs, plugins and widgets for rapid integration, enabling merchants to settle payments in minutes and convert to local fiat through the Circle Payments Network or similar services.
