USEP begins 2026-2027 academic cycle with 3,515 students

The Universidad de la Salud del Estado de Puebla (USEP) has commenced the 2026-2027 academic cycle with 3,515 students enrolled across its main campus and regional locations. Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier reported that university spaces have increased by 700 percent compared to the previous year as part of state educational policies to expand professional training access.

Due to this significant increase in enrollment, which includes 1,570 additional students this year, the university announced that some new students will begin classes at the Instituto de Profesionalización del Magisterio Poblano (IPMP) in the Ex Rancho Colorado neighborhood of Puebla City. This measure aims to ensure adequate facilities for all students.

The academic offerings include degrees in Surgeon Physician, Nursing and Obstetrics, and Health Promotion and Care. Regional campuses are located in Izúcar de Matamoros, Tepexi de Rodríguez, Yaonáhuac, Zoquitlán, and Tecamachalco. The state government is also evaluating land for the construction of a new USEP campus in the capital.
