Ushuaia advances construction project for CAAD disability center

The Municipality of Ushuaia has issued a pre-adjudication decree for the land intended for the construction of the Centro de Actividades Alternativas para Personas con Discapacidad (CAAD) building. Mayor Walter Vuoto delivered the document to CAAD Director Fernanda Gaillard and the institution's management team.

The decree facilitates the institution's ability to seek financing and coordinate with local businesses and residents to fund the project. The construction will be spearheaded by the CAAD cooperative, which will manage the development through contributions from various sectors.

Preliminary work, including soil movement and site preparation, has already commenced on the property. The project is the result of collaborative efforts between the Mayor's office and the Deliberative Council to enable the transfer of space to the CAAD cooperative.
