Ushuaia Council Grants Land for CAAD Center, Advances Tourism Office and Childcare Garden Projects

The Ushuaia City Council approved unanimously the transfer of municipal land to the Centre for Alternative Activities for People with Disabilities (CAAD), enabling the construction of its own building. Council member Nicolás Pelloli highlighted the unanimous support and noted the initiative was driven by Mayor Walter Vuoto and backed by all political blocks and community campaigns.

Separately, the municipal Planning, Works and Public Services Secretariat reported progress on two self‑financed infrastructure works. The new tourism office at the city entrance is 88 % complete, with paving, fixtures, lighting and final interior finishes underway. The refurbishment and expansion of the Los Zorzales maternal garden is about 50 % complete, with electrical installations, external metal structure and roof work in progress.
