Ushuaia municipality rolls out housing aid for nurses and child‑development training program

The Municipality of Ushuaia held a meeting between the city’s Habitat and Territorial Planning Office and the executive board of the Tierra del Fuego Nursing College to discuss housing solutions for nursing professionals. Municipal officials highlighted the need for coordinated action to improve access to land and housing for health workers.

In a separate initiative, the city’s Secretariat of Women and Human Development, together with the Subsecretariat of Health Policies and Human Rights, announced the first training session of the National Program for Prevention, Early Diagnosis and Treatment of Developmental Disorders (PRUNAPE). The program aims to equip professionals who work with children with tools for early detection of developmental issues.

Both actions reflect Ushuaia’s focus on strengthening health‑related services and support for its workforce.
