Utah state parks surpass 12 million annual visits
Utah state parks recorded over 12 million visits during the 2026 fiscal year, marking the third consecutive year that statewide visitation has surpassed the 12 million threshold. According to data from the Utah Division of State Parks, visitation has more than doubled over the last decade.
Wasatch Mountain State Park ranked as the fourth-most visited park with 910,046 visits, representing one of the state's largest numerical increases. Jordanelle State Park ranked sixth with 828,300 visits. Together, these two parks near Park City accounted for over 1.7 million visits.
Other notable growth was seen at Snow Canyon State Park, which recorded the largest numerical increase with 162,088 additional visits, and Utahraptor State Park, which drew over 143,000 visits during its first full fiscal year of operation.
