UTRGV women's soccer begins season against Texas Southern

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women's soccer team begins its season this week. The Vaqueros are scheduled to host the Texas Southern University (TSU) Tigers on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Edinburg, Texas.

This matchup marks the eighth meeting between the two programs. TSU enters the season following a third-place finish in the SWAC last year and features 14 newcomers on its roster. UTRGV will be led by new head coach Nataki Stewart.

Following the game against TSU, UTRGV will travel to face the Texas State Bobcats on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in San Marcos, Texas. This will be the first time in program history that the Vaqueros face Texas State, who is entering its first season as a member of the PAC-12 Conference.
