UTSA and UCF Players Named to Shriners Children’s East‑West Bowl Watch List

The Shriners Children’s East‑West Bowl announced its 1,000‑player watch list for the 2027 game, highlighting top NFL‑draft‑eligible college athletes. The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) placed five Roadrunners on the list: wide receiver David Amador II, running back Will Henderson III, quarterback Owen McCown, linebacker Owen Pewee, and wide receiver AJ Wilson. The release cites Amador’s 45 receptions for 443 yards and four touchdowns, Henderson’s 866 rushing yards and six scores, and McCown’s 2,995 passing yards with 30 touchdowns in the 2025 season.

UCF added eleven Knights to the same watch list, including quarterback Alonza Barnett III, defensive backs Ty Bartrum and Jayden Bellamy, linebacker Lewis Carter, defensive tackle Thomas Collins, offensive lineman Preston Cushman, wide receiver Josh Derry, defensive back Demari Henderson, defensive tackles RJ Jackson Jr. and Horace Lockett, and tight end Dylan Wade. UCF now ties for fourth in the Big 12 for watch‑list selections behind Texas Tech’s 27 players. The East‑West Bowl all‑star game is scheduled for February 4, 2027, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where NFL coaches will work with the selected players.
