Uttar Pradesh announces advocate insurance and 100,000 new jobs
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced several welfare initiatives aimed at professionals and vulnerable populations. For the state's legal community, the government will provide insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh for advocates to offer social security against healthcare and financial risks.
In terms of employment, the Chief Minister stated that the government will provide 100,000 government jobs over the next six months, starting September 19. This includes 77,000 recruitments specifically for the Police and Home Guards departments.
Additionally, the government plans to increase both the pension amount and the number of beneficiaries for senior citizens, destitute women, and persons with disabilities. Currently, 11 million individuals in these categories receive an annual pension of ₹12,000.
