Uttar Pradesh announces UP Special TET 2026 schedule amid result complaints

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the schedule for the UP Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. Applications will open on September 5, 2026, and close on October 4, 2026. The examination is scheduled for November 3, 2026, via an offline OMR-based format. This follows a Supreme Court directive requiring currently employed teachers to pass the exam by August 31, 2028, to secure their positions.

Separately, the commission is addressing significant unrest regarding the UP TET 2026 results. Over 45,000 complaints have been filed, primarily concerning rejected results due to improper OMR sheet marking and grievances from candidates who failed by less than one mark following normalization.

The commission has moved the results from its official website to DigiLocker. Candidates can submit further grievances regarding the results via email to the commission until September 10, after which offline representations will no longer be accepted.
