Uttar Pradesh teacher eligibility testing

Overview

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the schedule for the UP Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. Applications are set to open on September 5, 2026, and close on October 4, 2026, with the examination scheduled for November 3, 2026. This follows a Supreme Court directive requiring currently employed teachers to pass the exam by August 31, 2028, to secure their positions.

Concurrently, the commission is managing significant unrest regarding the UP TET 2026 results. More than 45,000 complaints have been filed, largely concerning rejected results due to improper OMR sheet marking and grievances from candidates who failed by less than one mark following normalization.

In response, the commission has moved results from its official website to DigiLocker. Candidates may submit further grievances via email until September 10, after which offline representations will no longer be accepted.
