Uttar Pradesh transfers 17 IAS officers in major reshuffle

The Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 17 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across various key departments and divisions.

Significant changes include the appointment of Sangeeta Singh as the new Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad, succeeding Anjaneya Kumar Singh. Singh, who had been serving on deputation, has been repatriated to his home cadre of Sikkim following the conclusion of his term.

Om Prakash Arya has been appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Aligarh. Other notable shifts involve Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi, who moves from Rural Development to become Director General of Ayush, and Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, who takes over as Commissioner of Rural Development.

Additional reassignments affect the departments of Urban Development, Planning, Economics and Statistics, and the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam. The reshuffle aims to reorganize the administrative structure at the divisional commissioner, secretary, and managing director levels.
