Uttar Pradesh leaders engage in political campaigning and appointments
In Uttar Pradesh, political tensions have escalated ahead of upcoming assembly elections. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) criticized the Samajwadi Party (SP), alleging that an SP administration would lead to a return of “hooliganism.” Maurya claimed that if the SP comes to power, criminals currently in jail would be released, individuals facing corruption charges would receive ministerial roles, and cases involving terrorists might be withdrawn.
Separately, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a program at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow to distribute appointment letters to 818 candidates. These individuals were selected for various departmental posts through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) and the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).
