Uttar Pradesh Minister criticizes Akhilesh Yadav's previous tenure
Uttar Pradesh Minister Jaiveer Singh has criticized Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, stating that the public will not grant the SP a mandate as long as the memory of Yadav’s 2012–2017 tenure remains. Singh alleged that during that period, the state suffered from communalism and crime, characterizing it as a time when Uttar Pradesh became a “danga pradesh” (riot state).
Singh contrasted the current government’s “One District One Product” initiative with what he described as the “one district one mafia” situation prevalent during the SP administration.
In response to allegations from Akhilesh Yadav regarding the cancellation of a rally in Bulandshahr, Singh maintained that the government is not imposing restrictions. Additionally, regarding legal cases involving irregularities in Haj Committee land, the minister stated that investigative agencies are conducting their work independently of the government.
