BJP to launch Seva Sankalp Abhiyan marking PM Modi’s 25 years in leadership

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, a month-long nationwide campaign starting September 17. The initiative marks Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public leadership, beginning from his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001. The campaign aims to engage various social groups, including youth, women, and farmers, and will include programs such as the ‘Anganwadi Samman’ and ‘Matri Samman’ to honor workers.

In Uttar Pradesh, political tensions have escalated between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). BSP leader Mayawati demanded that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav apologize to the Jat community for allegedly insulting RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary and the family of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh. Akhilesh Yadav responded by stating that the Samajwadi Party remains a committed partner in alliances and does not abandon its allies.

Additionally, BJP spokesperson Tuhin A. Sinha criticized Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a ‘professional activist’ and accusing him of attacking Hindu beliefs through miscontextualized references to the Manusmriti. Sinha also addressed political unrest in Jharkhand involving student protests and government decisions.
