Pilgrims carry holy Ganga water to temples in their home districts, prompting extensive civic preparations. In Haridwar, authorities installed 300 permanent and 60 mobile toilets, deployed about 6,000 police personnel, and increased CCTV surveillance to manage crowds and maintain cleanliness.
