Uttar Pradesh UPTET 2026: dates, format and qualifying marks

The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 will be held offline from 2 July to 4 July across 955 centers in 60 districts. Candidates must appear in two papers, each comprising 150 multiple‑choice questions with no negative marking. Paper 1 (primary level) runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., while Paper 2 (upper‑primary level) runs from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admit cards become available on 30 June on the official UPESSC website.

A total of about 1.6 million applicants have registered. To pass, general‑category candidates need at least 60 % (90 marks) and reserved‑category candidates need 55 % (82 marks) of the 150‑mark paper. The exam follows a strict no‑electronics policy and requires valid photo ID and a ball‑point pen.
