Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Opens Bridge and Launches Flood Projects

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated a newly built girder bridge over the Dhangarhi drain on National Highway 309 in Ramnagar, Nainital district. Speaking at the ceremony, he highlighted rapid infrastructure growth in the state and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for developing remote border regions.

The CM also laid the foundation stone for two flood‑protection projects in Champawat district valued at more than Rs 65 crore, including a Rs 60.21 crore embankment along the Sharda River from Boom to Tanakpur and a Rs 5.74 crore protection wall on the Huddi River to safeguard Chhinigoth village. He inspected ongoing works and urged officials to maintain quality and timeliness.

Later in Mumbai, Dhami met members of the Uttarakhand diaspora, presenting a five‑year development roadmap and describing the diaspora as cultural and brand ambassadors for the state. He appealed for continued contributions to Uttarakhand’s progress and received a traditional welcome with ceremonial tilak, Kumaoni cap and Chholiya dance.
