Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launches development projects worth Rs 700 crore
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated eight development projects in Gadarpur, Uttarakhand, with a total outlay of Rs 28.307 crore and laid foundation stones for new works valued at Rs 21.36 crore. Completed works included a new bus station, a development block office, a community hall and a girls’ hostel, while upcoming projects will add concrete roads, inter‑locking tile roads and other infrastructure across nearby villages.
In a separate announcement, Dhami approved a broader development package of Rs 676 crore for the state. The package funds solar‑powered street lighting in Almora, Dehradun and Pithoragarh, water‑supply upgrades in Nainital’s Krishnapur area, power‑network expansion under the Kedarnath Dham Master Plan, a new postgraduate building in Augustmuni, and financial support for urban local bodies. The initiatives aim to improve public services, promote clean energy and boost higher‑education facilities throughout Uttarakhand.
