Uzbekistan independence anniversary celebrated in Antalya

The 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence was celebrated with a special event at the Erdem Bayazıt Culture Center in the Kepez district of Antalya. Hosted by Ilkhom Khaydarov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ankara, the program included traditional Uzbek cuisine, such as Uzbek pilaf.

Antalya Deputy Governor Hulusi Arat attended the ceremony, describing Uzbekistan as an inseparable part of the Turkic world and the Community of Turkic States. He expressed support for the nation and wished its people health and prosperity.

Ambassador Khaydarov highlighted the event as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties. He mentioned ongoing efforts to develop new projects, including the potential creation of an Uzbekistan-themed street or park in Antalya and the opening of an Uzbekistan Promotion Center. He also encouraged residents of Antalya to visit Uzbekistan, noting the daily flights between the two locations.
