Imran Khan's sister seeks urgent Supreme Court hearing over medical order violation

Uzma Khan, sister of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, has filed a second application with the Supreme Court seeking an urgent hearing of a contempt petition. The petition alleges that the government failed to implement a court order from August 18, which directed that Imran Khan be transferred to Shifa International Hospital for medical examination and treatment.

Instead of the ordered facility, authorities reportedly took Imran Khan to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The application warns that further delays in hearing the contempt matter could cause serious and irreparable harm to his deteriorating health. While the Supreme Court has scheduled the hearing for September 16, Uzma Khan is requesting the court to fix the matter for this week or next week to protect his fundamental rights and physical well-being.
