Vadim Ermolaev claims Monaco bomb attack was contract killing

Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev, who survived a bomb attack in Monaco in late June, believes the incident was a professional contract killing. Ermolaev stated that he believes specialists from military intelligence were hired privately to carry out the operation.

While Ermolaev expressed skepticism regarding the direct involvement of the Ukrainian government, investigations have linked the attack to a deceased woman suspected of involvement and two detainees, one of whom is reportedly an active employee of Ukrainian military intelligence.

The explosion occurred when an unknown perpetrator left an explosive device in a building foyer. The blast critically injured a man and a woman, and wounded a 13-year-old child. Ermolaev, who holds Cypriot citizenship, was sanctioned by Ukraine in 2023 after reportedly resuming business activities in Crimea through proxies and paying taxes in Russia.
