Vai-Vai announces samba competition semifinalists for Carnaval 2027

The samba school Vai-Vai has announced the participants for the semifinals of its samba-enredo competition for Carnaval 2027. Following the third elimination round held at Arena Uirapuru, four partnerships are moving forward, with three of them set to compete in the grand final on September 13.

Vai-Vai’s theme for the 2027 festivities is ‘3 Obás de Xangô– A Mãe Bahia em Cantos, Cores e Memórias’, developed by carnival designers Alexandre Louzada and Victor Santos. The parade will pay tribute to the cultural contributions of Dorival Caymmi, Carybé, and Jorge Amado.
