Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğü announces 2026-2027 education aid schedule

The General Directorate of Foundations (VGM) has announced the application schedule for the 2026-2027 secondary education assistance program. Applications for primary, middle, and high school students will open on October 6, 2026, at 10:00, and will remain open until October 20, 2026, at 23:59. Eligible students will receive a monthly payment of 1,750 TL for nine months, totaling 15,750 TL per academic year.

To qualify, students must be enrolled in formal education institutions under the Ministry of National Education. The program excludes students in private schools, open education middle schools, or vocational open high schools. Additionally, those receiving other non-refundable scholarships from public institutions, students with siblings already receiving VGM aid, and those receiving VGM poverty allowances are ineligible.

Applications must be submitted electronically via the official VGM website. Regarding higher education scholarships for university students, the application period is expected to begin after the completion of the 2026 YKS and DGS additional placement processes, following the October 20 deadline for secondary education.
