Vaksindo exports first poultry vaccines to African markets
PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara, a subsidiary of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk, has completed its first export of poultry vaccines to the African continent. The initial shipment, valued at USD 106,875 (approximately Rp 1.9 billion), is destined for Zambia, Congo, Uganda, and Malawi.
The export includes 10 types of specialized vaccines designed to combat endemic poultry diseases such as Newcastle Disease (ND), Infectious Bronchitis (IB), Coryza, and Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD). These products aim to provide disease prevention solutions for farmers in the region and mitigate economic losses caused by livestock mortality.
Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture noted that this achievement aligns with national goals to strengthen the domestic animal health industry and increase non-oil and gas exports. Vaksindo has previously exported veterinary products to more than 25 countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
