Valandovo Forest Fire Suspected Deliberate in North Macedonia

A fire broke out on 12:37 p.m. on the inaccessible terrain near the Pirin Česma area of Valandovo municipality, North Macedonia. Territorial fire‑unit teams arrived quickly, and two aerial “ert‑tractor” planes were dispatched to assist suppression. The blaze was difficult to contain because of the rugged, low‑tree forest, requiring several air drops and the creation of protective lines before it was finally localized.
