Valdeorras sports clubs support pancreatic cancer research

Local sports clubs in Valdeorras, including Centro de Deportes O Barco, Club Deportivo A Rúa, and Andarines de Arcos, are promoting the IX Carrera y Andaina de las Ciudades contra el Cáncer de Páncreas. To raise awareness, players from CD O Barco and CD A Rúa wore purple solidarity shirts during their recent football matches.

The event, organized by ACAPAVAL, is scheduled for November 15 in Vilamartín de Valdeorras. It features three non-competitive categories: a 13-kilometer race and two walks of 7 and 11.5 kilometers. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Carmen Delgado and Miguel Pérez-Mateo research grants to support the study of pancreatic cancer.
