Valderice cancels public events after fatal Monte Erice accident

The municipality of Valderice has canceled all scheduled public events following a tragic accident during the 68th edition of the Monte Erice chronoscalata. The incident resulted in the deaths of two young individuals, Giuseppe and Karol.

As a sign of solidarity with the grieving families, local festivities including a dance at Lido Valderice, a theatrical comedy by Avis, and a motorcycle rally have been postponed indefinitely. Funerals for the victims are scheduled to take place this Monday in Belmonte Mezzagno, following upcoming autopsies.
