Valencia and Palau de les Arts sign agreement to bring zarzuela to neighborhoods

The Valencia City Council and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, a foundation of the Valencian Community, have approved a collaboration agreement for 2026 to deliver artistic activities linked to the centre’s programme. The pact includes a municipal contribution of €105,000 and six performances of the itinerant show “Notes d’este estiu són, sarsueles en el camió”, created by Enrique Viana from the works of José Serrano.

The initiative aims to broaden public access to lyrical arts, promote Valencian musical heritage and include educational and outreach activities. Council cultural delegate José Luis Moreno is authorised to formalise the agreement and oversee its implementation.
