Valencia region launches commercial and hospitality vouchers to aid recovery

Various municipalities and regional authorities in the Valencian Community have launched economic stimulus programs to support local commerce and the hospitality sector following the devastating DANA floods of October 2024.

The 'Bono Hostelería 2026' initiative, managed by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, has allocated 3.9 million euros to reactivate bars, cafes, and restaurants. The program offers a 50% reimbursement on consumption, with a maximum benefit of 50 euros per person. Applications have seen high demand in areas such as Torrent, Algemesí, and Catarroja.

Additionally, local commercial vouchers are being implemented across the region. In Gandia, the 'Xec Consum' vouchers were fully exhausted within five hours due to high demand. Castellón has released commercial vouchers in denominations of 10, 25, 50, and 100 euros, offering significant purchase value increases for local shoppers. The Diputación de Valencia is also promoting the 'Bono Comercio 2026' to help small and medium-sized enterprises recover from the impact of the floods.
