Valencia municipalities implement digital transparency reforms
Several municipalities in the province of Valencia, Spain, are implementing digital modernization strategies to enhance transparency and open government. Supported by subsidies from the Generalitat Valenciana and the Diputación de València, these local governments are upgrading their digital platforms to improve citizen access to public information.
In Agullent, the administration is restructuring its institutional portal and electronic office to ensure easier navigation and regulatory compliance. Massamagrell is launching the ‘Massamagrell Avanza’ project, which features an intelligent transparency portal utilizing artificial intelligence to allow citizens to query official documentation using everyday language.
Other municipalities are also advancing their digital governance. Bolbaite has established a new Municipal Registry of Associations and a dedicated web portal to centralize information for local collectives. Similarly, Teresa de Cofrentes has modernized its transparency portal and electronic office, focusing on clear language and centralized access to municipal data to reduce bureaucratic complexity.
