Valencia Provincial Council Boosts EU Support and Invests €2 Million in Water and Waste Services

The Diputación de Valencia has emphasized its role as an intermediary between local municipalities and the European Union, offering technical assistance, training, and funding to help towns access EU programmes. The council reports that its European‑funds office allocated €3.27 million for 2025, supporting projects in digitalisation, ecological transition, social cohesion and emergency resilience across the province.

In the Rincón de Ademuz region, the council confirmed an investment of more than €2 million to improve water supply, sanitation, pipeline renewal, smart metering and urban water management, as well as over €500,000 for modern waste‑collection infrastructure, including smart containers and collection vehicles. Deputy Paco Comes highlighted that these actions aim to increase service efficiency, strengthen territorial cohesion and combat rural depopulation.

The combined effort seeks to ensure that even small municipalities with limited technical capacity can participate in EU funding calls and benefit from upgraded essential services.
