Valencian Socialist Party launches political program in Alicante under Diana Morant

The Valencian Socialist Party (PSPV) will open its political course on 19‑20 September at the University of Alicante. The event, promoted by regional minister Diana Morant, will feature a mix of left‑wing “influencers”, television commentators and historic figures such as Sarah Santaolalla, Manuela Carmena and Cristina Almeida, alongside party officials and trade‑union representatives.

The conference aims to draft a ten‑year programme (2027‑2037) under the slogan “Recuperar lo que importa”, focusing on welfare, housing, employment, climate response, education and regional identity. Organisers intend the format – with workshops, informal debates and cultural activities – to attract a broader audience after Morant’s earlier gaffe at a proclamation event in Gandia.

Key participants include Morant herself, PSPV leaders Rebeca Torró, Pilar Bernabé and Arcadi España, as well as media personalities Elena Reines, María González and others who will help shape the party’s policy proposals ahead of the upcoming regional elections.
