Valparaíso Region announces community and environmental funding calls
Various funding opportunities have been announced for social and environmental organizations in the Valparaíso Region of Chile.
Sopraval has launched its final 2026 call for the 'Fondo Vecino' (Neighbor Fund) under its Community Development line. The initiative is open to social organizations in seven communes where the company operates: La Calera, Nogales, Hijuelas, La Ligua, Quilpué, Villa Alemana, and Limache. Applications are accepted until October 23 through the designated web platform. The fund offers two financing lines: equipment for purchasing furniture, technology, or sports gear, and infrastructure for improving social centers and lighting. Winning projects can receive between 500,000 and 1,000,000 pesos.
Additionally, the SEREMI of the Environment for the Valparaíso Region is calling for applications for the 2027 Environmental Protection Fund (FPA). Organizations, including indigenous communities and parent-teacher associations, can apply for up to 6 million pesos until October 14. The fund supports projects related to circular economy, waste management, climate change, biodiversity conservation, and energy efficiency. The call includes three categories: Sustainable Citizen Projects, Sustainable Projects for Indigenous Peoples, and Sustainable Projects in Educational Establishments.
