Valve releases Steam Personal Calendar feature to all users

Valve has officially transitioned the Personal Calendar feature from Steam Labs testing to a permanent part of the Steam store. The tool is designed to help players navigate the massive volume of digital releases by highlighting upcoming and recent games tailored to individual interests.

The recommendation algorithm focuses on games where users have invested significant playtime. By analyzing these profiles, the system identifies other players with similar gaming habits and suggests titles they have played or added to their wishlists. This approach aims to bridge the gap between mainstream hits and niche titles.

Users can access the calendar via the store homepage or a dedicated link. The interface displays an eight-week horizon of potential interests, which can be filtered by category, tags, or specific criteria such as Early Access status. Valve has stated that the feature does not include paid advertisements and is entirely algorithmically generated.
