Van Chamber of Commerce election faces dispute over 1,565 members

İrem Bayram, a candidate for the presidency of the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Van TSO), has raised concerns regarding the potential exclusion of 1,565 members from the upcoming elections.

Bayram stated that although these members fulfilled their obligations by paying their membership fees after September 29, the Van TSO failed to submit the supplementary list to the District Election Board in a timely manner. Consequently, the District Election Board rejected the list on the grounds that it was not submitted within the required timeframe.

Bayram characterized the situation as more than a simple administrative error, calling for transparency and accountability from the current Van TSO management to address why the list was delayed and why members' rights to vote and be elected are at risk.
