Van province hosts religious knowledge competitions for summer students

Students attending summer Quran courses in the Van province of Turkey participated in religious knowledge competitions in the districts of Özalp and Çaldıran.

In Özalp, the District Mufti's Office coordinated an event to measure and encourage students' knowledge of the Quran and religious information. A jury including District Mufti Sedat Şentürk evaluated the participants' reading, comprehension, and religious knowledge levels.

In Çaldıran, a competition focused on memorizing 40 Hadiths was held at the Çaldıran Central Mosque. Students were assessed on their pronunciation, memorization strength, and presentation skills. District Mufti Mehmet Faruk Geylani emphasized that the goal of the summer courses is to instill the character of the Prophet alongside Quranic recitation. Winners were awarded gifts during a ceremony attended by local officials.
