Van Vicker sues Lil Win for GH¢10 million in defamation suit
Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has filed a defamation lawsuit against fellow actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win, at the High Court in Accra. Van Vicker is seeking GH¢10 million in exemplary damages, along with general damages for libel, a public apology, a retraction of the statements, and legal costs.
The lawsuit stems from a video allegedly posted to TikTok and Facebook on August 13, 2026, titled “LIL WIN BANS VAN VICKER FROM ACTING IN KUMASI!”. Van Vicker claims the video portrayed him as dishonest, unprofessional, and unfit for the Kumawood movie industry. The statement of claim alleges that Lil Win accused him of lying and failing to fulfill professional obligations regarding a film production.
Van Vicker contends that these statements have caused significant reputational harm, leading to public ridicule and embarrassment. He further noted that the allegations have impacted his professional relationships, resulting in inquiries from film producers, directors, and other prominent actors seeking clarification.
