Vancouver Bandits host Edmonton Stingers in Langley home opener

The Vancouver Bandits will open their home schedule on Friday, May 22, against the Edmonton Stingers at the newly named Envision Financial Court in Langley Events Centre. The two teams are meeting again after Edmonton defeated Vancouver 91-78 on May 16, a loss the Bandits coach Kyle Julius called one of their worst defensive performances in years.

With former MVP Mitch Creek gone, the Bandits are led by American forward Jaelen House, who is averaging 60 points per game and ranks second in shot attempts in the league. Edmonton’s recent success has been driven by Dain Dainja, who posted a 25‑point, 14‑rebound line in the prior encounter. The winner of the rematch will position itself as the primary challenger to the West‑leading Winnipeg Sea Bears.

Following the Friday game, Vancouver will face the Calgary Surge on Sunday, May 24, in a matchup billed as a rematch of last year’s Western Conference semifinal. Fans attending the home opener can enjoy the pre‑game Bandits Backyard BBQ, featuring kid‑friendly activities, live music and food, starting two hours before tip‑off.
