Vancouver FC clinches first CPL win, defeats Pacific FC 3-1

Vancouver FC earned their first Canadian Premier League victory by beating Pacific FC 3-1 in the Salish Sea Derby at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria on May 3‑4, 2026. Mohamed Amissi opened the scoring in the 36th minute from a cross by Morey Doner. Terran Campbell, returning to the island where his CPL career began, added two goals – the first from a Thierno Bah cross in the 60th minute and a second shortly after, securing a brace. Pacific FC reduced the deficit in the 78th minute through Sami Keshavarz, but the Eagles held on for the win, moving off the bottom of the table.

The result was highlighted by head coach Martin Nash, a Victoria native, as a positive turning point after three consecutive losses. Vancouver FC’s next match is a Voyageurs Cup preliminary against Langley United on May 10.
