Vancouver man charged after four unprovoked assaults

A 50-year-old man has been charged following a series of four alleged unprovoked assaults in downtown Vancouver. The incidents occurred within a 30-minute window on a Saturday afternoon.

According to the Vancouver Police Department, the suspect allegedly entered a business near Homer and Dunsmuir Street to demand money, throwing an object that caused minor injuries to two employees. Shortly after, the man reportedly punched a pedestrian on Beatty Street and another individual approximately 10 minutes later.

The suspect faces charges including two counts of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and mischief. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
