VanEck launches AI‑driven international ETF on the Australian market

Momentum Savings head of marketing Andile Jonas warned South African consumers that while artificial intelligence can provide quick financial information, it should not replace personal financial advice. He noted AI cannot grasp individual circumstances, risk tolerance, or life‑changing events, and cautioned against “one‑size‑fits‑all” recommendations that may lead to poor decisions.

In Australia, VanEck introduced the Dynamic International ETF (ASX: GOAT), which uses AI agents and generative reinforcement‑learning models to evaluate thousands of signals across about 1,200 large companies. The fund is rebalanced monthly, selecting 150 stocks with the highest projected outperformance. Early top holdings include Apple, Nvidia, Alphabet, Microsoft, Tesla, ExxonMobil and Caterpillar. VanEck’s head of Asia‑Pacific, Arian Neiron, said the product makes AI‑powered stock picking, once limited to multibillion‑dollar quant firms, accessible to retail investors, calling it the “industrialisation of alpha.”
