VanEck AI-driven ETF launch in Australia

In early July 2026 VanEck debuted the GOAT (VanEck Dynamic International Equity ETF) on the Australian Securities Exchange, the country’s first AI‑driven exchange‑traded fund. The product uses AI agents and generative reinforcement‑learning models to evaluate roughly 1,200 global companies each month, selecting 150 stocks with the highest projected outperformance. Initial holdings feature Apple, Nvidia, Alphabet, Microsoft, Tesla, ExxonMobil and Caterpillar, and the fund’s management fee was reduced to 0.49% per year.

Later in July, VanEck’s rollout was accompanied by a warning from Momentum Savings’ head of marketing, Andile Jonas, that AI‑generated financial information should not replace personalized advice. The company’s Asia‑Pacific head, Arian Neiron, described the ETF as bringing “industrialisation of alpha” to retail investors, arguing that AI‑powered stock picking—once limited to large quant firms—has become accessible to a broader market.
