Vangelis Pavlidis attracts interest from major European clubs
Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis is attracting significant interest from several top European football clubs following his strong performances for both Benfica and the Greek national team. Reports indicate that major clubs including Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus, and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the 27-year-old forward.
Pavlidis has demonstrated exceptional form, scoring 14 goals in his first 13 appearances for Benfica this season. His leadership as captain of Greece during recent Nations League matches against Germany, Serbia, and the Netherlands has further increased his market value.
While Benfica has a €100 million release clause for the player, a transfer during the January window is considered unlikely. Benfica has previously rejected offers exceeding €50 million, and the club may look toward the summer of 2027 for potential negotiations. The player is reportedly interested in moving to a Champions League club where he can maintain a key role.
