Varaždin County Emergency Medical Institute receives five new vehicles

The Emergency Medical Institute of Varaždin County has received five new vehicles valued at 763,000 euros. The fleet expansion includes four vehicles for sanitary transport and one for emergency medical assistance.

County Prefect Anđelko Stričak noted that more than half of the institute's vehicle fleet has been renewed over the last five years, resulting in an average vehicle age of approximately five years. This makes the institute's fleet one of the youngest in Croatia.

The new vehicles feature active air suspension to improve patient comfort and safety, particularly for those with spinal injuries. They also offer increased interior space and three-sided access to facilitate the treatment of critically ill patients in the field.

In addition to the vehicles, Varaždin County has allocated 54,000 euros for the procurement of work and protective clothing for sanitary transport staff, as part of a larger 67,000 euro project.
