Varanasi to host Indian Air Force air show at Namo Ghat

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level review meeting on Saturday to discuss preparations for a grand Indian Air Force air show scheduled to take place at Namo Ghat in Varanasi from October 24 to 26.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are expected to attend the main event on October 25. During the meeting, officials from the Indian Air Force, district administration, and police presented plans regarding spectator galleries, grandstands, media arenas, and security checkpoints.

To manage the anticipated large crowds along the Ganges riverfront, the administration plans to divide the area into specific zones and sectors. Chief Minister Adityanath directed officials to ensure adequate arrangements for drinking water, first aid, sanitation, and security. He also emphasized the need for integrated traffic and parking management across both land and water routes, as well as coordination between the various districts in the Varanasi division.
